I was just talking about this with a friend and one of the points she brought up was that ai it seems all about controlling perception based off of who profits from ai dominating the internet/media. I mean, most of youtube shorts is ai generated to the point where its starting to eclipse human made ones (and other platforms are going that way—at least from what i consistently see). It kinda feels like with the way its evolving it’s more of a “rollout” and less innovation and focusing peoples attention on how great it is.
idk. but all the sci-fi i’ve read about ai involves ai wanting something, which was at least a human quality, but now that its actually here it just kinda…doesn’t. it just takes returns and follows orders with absolutely no intention.
