elons inability to innovate even a just a small amount is incredible. the way this man refuses to push boundaries while acting like he's a real life tony stark is a sight to behold. "yeah radar is not ideal so lets just stop using it entirely" " lidar is too big and ugly" for being at the forefront of "self driving" tech they really love to wait for other people to solve their problems. And these are solvable problems, in fact you can literally buy phased array lidar systems commercially. ( phased array systems are flat and are steered digitally without using moving parts.)
