This is natural in any industry, back in the day you needed a ton of farm hands to harvest the field, then tractors came in so less lower skilled people are needed, then all these advanced farming tools came in where now you only need a handful of people to plant and harvest acres of land.
Think of junior coders as these farm hands, less of them are needed in companies due to AI (tractors). The only thing you can do is adapt and use these tools, if you cling to coding line by line (farming manually) you'll get left behind by everyone else using AI (tractors).
