I know everyone hates Elon and all that emotion, but… Autopilot is basically cruise control that will keep you in the same lane not follow navigation. The one that drives for you is Full Self Driving (FSD). Both of these systems in Tesla vehicles advise you should always monitor driving and be ready to take over. Looking around for something you dropped with your eyes off the road disqualifies the instructions. You should never take your eyes off the road. I have a Tesla, but I only use autopilot on highways where I need to stay in the same lane. I hate these kinds of neglectful Tesla drivers, they are gonna make an already overalerting autopilot to give more warnings and make it unbearable.
