I have many mixed opinions on AI but I'm just going to say that I believe it's absolutely necessary for art programs to step their game up and develop new tools, even machine-learning ones that make art creation easier. If you're familiar with Krita you know there's a tool called Assistant, which places overlays on the canvas that aid you in things like 2-point perspective, fish-eye, ellipses, parallel rulers, etc.
Specifically in the field of animation I can imagine a tool that works similarly, where you can draw your character's construction figure, draw an armature and move it across frames. You'd still have to draw the lineart, color it and shade it. You could also work with deformations, have instant feedback on the physicality of your work, even fluids, smoke and fire. In this day and age most computers could simulate these things without effort.
