I'm not particularly impressed or amused by this trend, nor do i think AI self awareness is even within reach in our lifetime, but the statements from people that include things like "no matter how capable" and that assign an intrinsic inviolable superiority to the simply being biologically human and insisting nothing outside that category can be afforded rights feels extremely gross and I don't see any difference between that and believing European Christians are innately superior and separate to other kinds of humans.
