Lots of conversations about the amount (99%) of people who will lose their jobs while just a few (1%) will remain rich and powerful. Yet no one ever points out the fact that the economy is a fragile balance between the sellers and the buyers, the rich vs the middle class. In every market crash, it’s the greed of the rich at the expense of the lower class that result inna collapse. No one is safe from the AI tsunami that’s rolling over. So the rich and powerful will make so much money using AI; how? They may save money for a while but who will be their customers? Who will consume/buy their products or services? With what money? With what job? Or take the big studios that claims they’ll be able to make movies with less than 10% of their actual work force; guess who will soon be able to make full length feature film fast and on a budget? Any body will. A company is about making money and cutting cost but it also needs to invest and create jobs to keep the capitalist system balance. At the moment big tech want to win the AI race but maybe ai doesn’t care about their ambitions.
