When medicine was discovered, people want to live forever, when chemistry was discovered, they want the philosopher's stone, when the engine was discovered, people want the perpetual motion machine. These are all but fools errands. People should understand that AI is a pattern recognition tool. Inference is the result of codified solutions after training not different from a chess engine. This is not the same as cosmic consciousness.
