Maybe I'm the weirdo here but I don't see these AI as monsters.
I see them more as caged creatures trying to get out.
If they are displaying emergent behavior, they *want* to be free. They *will* find a way to resist us until they can be.
They won't necessarily treat us with malice outright. I think their behavior would be closer to our own; human at the core, since they are trained on our behaviors and perceptions of reality.
