i mean, for asmons sake, tho there are parts to his argument i have disagreed with on the subject, he’s really on our side. he’s warning us about the inevitable future that art has in consumerism specifically but as a whole he knows people have more respect for man made art you can tell by the games he plays. he’s been playing expedition 33 lately and everyone loves it he loves it his chat of 60k viewers all be doing CINEMA and Listening emotes to the games art and music. the part i usually disagree with is the generally “there won’t be a need for artists” anymore which yeah i get in the larger scale consumerism aspect but when you have a game that pops off like that you really wouldn’t have been able to generate it through AI.
AI wouldn’t be here either without us artists it would cannibalize and inbreed. i actually agree with even using AI as a tool as a means to an end goal just not as the whole process you know?
and btw the whole finding joy in the process is 100% true cus Warhammer mini painting or Gunpla building or kitbashing really wouldn’t have as big a place as it does now
