Thank you for making this video, Sam! The AI art situation and all the anger rising up from it has been so stressful for myself and a bunch of the artists that I know, so it's really cool to see such an articulate, well-thought out response that finds the words that I don't have the headspace to find. Like you, I have no beef with AI itself - it can be an incredible tool when used in the right way - I'm more disheartened by the thievery behind the data set, and the responses from AI art supporters who clearly do not understand or value artists and their hard work. The situation is new and quickly evolving, so hopefully together visual artists can enact positive change for our community and the artists of the future.
