Tbh I don’t think it’s all that perplexing seeing someone like him or other industry artists using gen AI. I just think that him and other industry artists with this mindset are no longer in love with the craft, are no longer committed to improving their work because their base skill is “good enough” to keep them employable, and they only see doing art as a means to an end, a generic product to produce quickly for a company, with a little bit of their atrophied skill slapped on top of it
In other words, he’s a hack, and unfortunately they are common in several professional fields
