>Human Connection
There is always a charm to a human actually reproducing something with their own hands, a quality there in where yes, the flaws is what makes it charming. Machines are "too" perfect and when they aren't, well it is that we know how machines don't like hands much that makes us laugh than question when a human accidentally spills the paint. You might be one to feel disconnected from the human, but even a human had to prompt the machine to produce an image and for myself, it isn't a question that there isn't a human behind the image, as of how much of that human. Yes, one can prompt an image to quickly produce something, but how many flaws does it have, how much of that vision was there in the one who prompt it, adjusted and worked the image into fully realizing their vision? It is a question of work. Anyone can use a stamp in photoshop to quickly paint grass, but how many go beyond to paint the barn that sits upon the grass, the sky and the rolling knolls there behind it, where the sun peaks over the treeline? Not many go the extra steep and it is these steps that we see more of a human connection, irreguardless of there being tools to speed up this vision, yet, you wouldn't dismiss all interest here would you in the art?
AI is the same, you can on the surface use it as a tool to create something quick and be done, or you can invest and fully transform it. One is lazy, the other works. I feel even those who try to sell AI work as saying they are "an artist" is lazy and cheap, but too, as I foretold, those that use it to work, how are they different that a photographer? I can snap a picture of anything and call myself a professional photographer but am I really? If I took the time to understand the Fstop and the ISO, set up the time and place, waited for that golden hour to take the most excellent picture of a bald eagle, I put in the work, would I not be more professional than the one that simply clicked a button? But too, would I not by taking the extra work, time, and thought, bring more of a human connection to the work?
This is what I encourage anyone to say. If you are going to use a tool, actually put yourself behind everything you do, otherwise, you appear lazy and lose yourself doing so.
