I feel scared as a small artist, lots of small jobs are already using ai images (I don’t consider it art, to me there can not be art without the human aspect. Both in making and in feeling) instead of commissioning a small artist.
Big artists are still safe from it because the generated images need some touch ups to correct anatomy and structure errors.
And I really don’t like the ideology that created ai images generators. It clearly comes from a place of hyper capitalism and commodification of art, made by people that just see art a snake oil that can be sold for a lot of money. In no moment it or it’s creators have thought or cared about artists and that’s very obvious thanks to interviews with the devs of those programs.
I’m sure it can be used to help artists and make our work easier in a certain way but I feel more repulsed than intrigued by ai image generators.
No shame on anyone who decides to implement it on their work flow.
Except for that guy that entered a digital art competition and won with a ai image and claimed “AI won over human”, I hope that guy steps really badly on a Lego. You cheated my dude.
