A lot of people do care even about using AI in your free time. The resource waste is... insane. Like bankrupting companies insane. It takes a ton of water to cool the towers and a lot of power. Microsoft lost millions on it banking that people would love copilot and now they're on the brink of removing it. Anyone who cares anything whatsoever about the environment would also take issue with it, so it's more than just artists calling this dude out. He's wasting dozens of swimming pools worth of water for that one piece by the time he's done. And even if you're not super focused on green output, it's just a stupid amount of waste for no marginal gain. It's not practical in any sense of the word to use AI in any fashion whatsoever.
