What do you mean you won't be touched if you know it's AI? If that's the criterium to being touched, then what if someone lied and said some AI art is made by a human? What if you feel touched then? Are your feelings not genuine? If the art is indistinguishable, then what are you really getting touched by - the art or the idea of making art? If I'm only interested in the former, it doesn't matter to me who made it. The problem with AI art is when the entire thing is made by AI to make a statement. If it's a poem by AI, I sleep, because AI doesn't have anything to say because it's not sentient, but if it's something like the video game example above and AI just created some puzzle pieces to a bigger whole that says something, then AI art is completely fine, superior in many cases. It looks mostly like generic slop because it's generated by people who have no specific idea about how they want it to look. Wow, big reveal, generic vague ideas generate generic vague results. Shocker. That princess mononoke comparison is so stupid. It's not trying to capture the same atmosphere, it's doing the generic "realistic" drawing style. You can make AI draw normal cartoon 2d images. This entire video is "AI art is lifeless", but the real full statement should be "AI art is lifeless for now". People don't like consuming AI art because it's not up to par YET. When you can be fooled into thinking it's not AI, then unless you are told who made it, then consumption will go up.
