I think we are at a crossroads - not at an AI revolution. That crossroads is: Further concentrating wealth and power in very few, OR a more democratized and decentralized version of the world.
Make no mistake, this is a very scary and volatile time, but these times are rife with opportunity. When things are stable, you're waiting for change to happen, now anything is possible. The ball is in the air.
Personally, I think we need to push toward self-hosting our IT solutions, our food, doing as much as possible within our own homes or communities, whatever that means to each of us. The time for burying our heads in the sand, minding our own business and carrying on as usual is over.
We can shape what comes next.
