I’ve said this multiple times. AI will be to software engineers in the same way that the cotton gin was to slavery. The inventor of the cotton gin thought that by automating the most labor intensive part of cotton production (refining) that it would drastically decrease the amount of slaves needed to make cotton. The opposite happened. Cotton plantations needed far more slaved to feed the cotton gin.
