I dont get why so many artists are afraid of AI. I am an artist myself and sometimes use AI because its convinient.
Why isnt hyperrealistic art as popular? Because you can just take a picuture.
Art is so much more and i am truly baffled by how so many here reject a tool which nobody is forced to use.
Human made art will always have a place in society just as much as there are still people who handcraft furniture or sculpt statues even though there are mashines who can do it faster.
"AI" also still needs an artist, a creative person guiding it. AI doesnt do anything without being told.
Also, ai can help people create art who otherwise wouldnt be able to do so. I bet hawkin would have had alot of fun playing around with an llm.
