Personally, I am all for AI art but until it is sourced ethically I cannot in good conscience utilize it, not even for inspiration or references. Stability AI knew exactly what they were doing because in order to scrape the internet the way they did; according to The SCOTUS, it can only be done for research purposes. They knowingly used their non profit research branch to scrape the internet and used those results in a round about sort of way to create a commercial product from it in order to get some ROI. It has grown out of control exponentially and it can not be reigned in, it needs to be stopped, erased and remade ethically. I have said it before and I will say it again: if you work with radioactive material in your process, you will end with a radioactive result. The legislation is coming.
