Get an AI to convert language to concepts and relate these and another to convert concepts back to language. The conceptual model is what we form in our brains as an unconscious model of reality. Evolve conceptual models from different exposures then ASI becomes possible and less likely to run away. We need AIs to be smaller but connected in order to get a balanced perspective. One huge AI is just insane because it will never be able to understand how to specialize when it needs to. We are not as close as you think. It is a case of getting chipped away. Once we have a lot of super-specialised able to coordinate then that’s ok - so long as you don’t have one super brain AI controlling them all.
