The fact of the matter is, the AI art isn’t art, it is a series of pixles placed by an ai based in what is most likely to happen based on it’s training data, all happening at once. The thing that makes art good is not just “OOH pretty picture!” Its the fact that it took a human person time to learn, go through trisl and error, and practice just to make that art. The art is not the finished product it is the human process, and when it comes to AI, the human process is about as much if not less than ordering a burger from mcdonalds online. I like this argument against AI art because it blocks the dumb argument of “i wrote the prompt so i did work” when that work required no process of learning or training on the users part. Did I cook or miss the mark lol?
