A friend of mine said something that really put a new perspective for me on AI art, which I think is important to share. Previously, I was fully against AI art. But they posed a question which got me to reconsider it a lot. Since it was sort of touched on in their comments, I wanna bring it up. They asked I would be against AI art still if it was being used by someone who physically couldn't draw. Now i know this is an extremely uncommon thing, but it made me realize that it isn't all black and white, and AI shouldn't be viewed in this good or bad mentality. I still think AI art must be ethically sourced from artists who volunteer their work to be used as a reference. But i think the whole concept of it is entirely good or bad goes against the point of what art is. Which is an expression of vision, even if you have to have the assistance of technology to do it.
