Those that use AI to create art aren't artists. The software is the "artist", you're just the scumbag peddler that's taking credit for its hard work, work it just "intelligently" brute forced and mushed together from the random stuff it was fed. A simulacrum of all it has interpreted, tweaked parameters and all.
It's like claiming to be a chef when all you did was use a food processor and a microwave. If you don't like the outcome, you just process and nuke it some more until it's a "good enough" representation of food. Protein and tofu bars would have more depth of flavor and QC than AI slop. The worst part isn't the slop itself, it's the stifling of true creativity that comes with it when it floods every online platform and the lack of crediting the original sources that inspired it, along with being rewarded from doing very little yourself.
