The real problem is liability. More to the point, it's the techbros trying to sell this garbage to you without having to accept liability themselves. That doesn't work. If the car causes the crash and not the driver, it's the fault of the self driving tech and the people who sold it to you. But of course, techbros are idiots who don't have enough foresight to see their own hands in front of their faces. They're all secretly praying that Trump will push some sort of magic button that both bails them out and excuses them from liability forever. Good luck with that...
