The silver lining is that the AI bros put their own poison on the internet. There was a research that the bigger % of the learning material came from AI art, the more unstable the results are. I doubt this will be enough, but let's hope that's true.
At first when AI images become a thing that could be useful, I thought "cool, maybe I could use it to make indie game since I suck at art, at least while it is unprofitable" but seeing how it is used, how it may replace human work in places where there is no need for it, in big wealthy companies, that's not cool any more. I think we need heavy changes to the law. Maybe even making AI art, text, and some other uses illegal. The bare minimum right now is to make it required to put a big fat warning on all images and texts that uses AI generated images or text. 10% of the surface of the image was touched by the generative AI? Put a warning. It would be hard to exactly put line between "AI art" and "used computer tools" but for now, at least anything that comes from generative AI should be controlled. Maybe put memorandum on LLM for use in art and text generation.
