With self driving cars we could eliminate traffic lights. Imagine you punch in your destination and then your car's position and every relevant detail like speed and other cars' positions are like uploaded to a network to find the timing to safely run all the lights. Effectively Bee Movie driving. I guess we couldn't actually do that very well because of pedestrians
