If you have invested in a skill so much that its the vast portion of your identity, you might have an issue right there. Being captured by your own efforts in doing something and lacking the ability to move on or adapt is hard but a necessary skill. You think you've invested alot of time in somehting like "its been 10 years and your 20 yrs old". You think its half your life... but shocker, you live past that age. At 40 you could have learned several new skills. And lets be real... if you start a relationship or have children, guess what you might have to do... ADJUST YOUR LIFE. so embrace the need to alwasy adjust or you might be that old dude yelling at kids to get off your lawn and not understand today's youth.
If the McDonald's cashier had to figure it the fuck out when the computer kisosk took thier jobs, the same with Artists. Figure it the fuck out dude. If AI is taking your job, imo you can do 1 of 2 things.
1. Complain and protest it away (this is honestly for the already financially well-off artist and also... thank you for your efforts to change the landscape)
or
2. Figure it the fuck out. (Learn, adapt, and overcome because you dont have time to protest... money needs to be made for reasons)
