Talent is a lie, it doesn't exist. Art is a skill we develop, not a talent we are born with. When people call it a talent, it discredits the DECADES of work, the late assignments in high school because I wanted to draw instead, the sleepless nights, the wrist and shoulder pain, the physical therapy for wrist injury, the hunger and exhaustion from working long hours, the books on art and anatomy read so many times the spines had to be duct taped up, the friendships lost because I "care more about drawing than hanging out," and so much more. Art isnt a talent. Its an investment into developing a skill that has no cap, that often goes unappreciated and underpaid, causes pain and exhaustion for the chance to inspire someone else to put their heart into something. And these clanker-obsessed fakes wanna say they cant draw because they arent talented? They just want the reward without the work. Its never too late to start creating art, and AI generated images are not art.
