Previous changes such as the industrial revolution, replaced skills (e.g. blacksmiths) over a century. and a half - 5 generations. Even then there was massive social disruption in Europe, with associated wars. AI is doing it within a decade. There is no time to adapt. Social disruption is not something that can be dismissed. In a country where everyone can own any gun they want (the US) Alice might just acquire a gun and shoot the AI owners.
