"I thought ChatGPT was a search engine." I'm a developer and use ChatGPT frequently, I'm very aware how confident ChatGPT will straight up lie. So I may be more knowledgable than most and just not able to understand HOW TF SOMEONE COULD THINK IT WAS A SEARCH ENGINE!! Seriously! It literally warns you about it not being a search engine when asking it somewhat serious questions. These lawyers lied on the stand for sure. They might've at first thought it was a search engine, but upon use ChatGPT itself would've quickly informed them otherwise when they asked it case law questions.
