I am so happy I got out of the journalism field before AI hit big. I remember how burned out I was towards the end of my time in the press and I don't think I would have willingly used AI given that I utterly hate it, but it was already a bad time. It's only gotten worse since then. My old paper has downsized its newsroom to basically just the editor.
