On the topic of Photography and Generative Ai, I personally had the experience of seeing an "artistic" depction of Ai by my photography teacher.
She set up an exhibition where she specifically studied how to prompt ai models and then gave them different poems (for context i'm italian).
The whole exhibition centered around those AI models that can create images that don't really follow the same logic as an artist, and emphasis was placed on the fact that the art wasn't the fact the AI made a pretty image but it was the fact that those words that made the AI process that image had a different meaning to us, in the form of a Poem.
It was almost a self reflection of the internet and symbolic language as a whole with a technology that, at the time (2021), was getting bigger and bigger and "learning" from more image sets
