What gets me is that it's not just artists' work they're ****** (I'm not saying grape but I can't say it without YT getting it deleted), it's also private medical records, deepfakes of people (most notably women and children) being sexually abused and exploited, propaganda pieces, children's entertainment, factual information, people's identities, and thinking itself. This was bound to happen due to people's reliance on social media but it's a lot worse now...a whole lot worse. I can't help but think that those on top want us to be mindless blobs that want to only consume and be dumb as shit or a future where we work much longer hours to barely make it and not have ANY free time to do anything or have the money and space to do so. I think they want it to be where thinking for yourself or trying anything should be discouraged while they get to have the luxury to do fun things. These are futures I think would happen if automation was at full throttle. Any AI bro that thinks this is good only think of memes. That's it. There's nothing to justify and there's nothing of value to this. It's also too expensive to maintain and waste energy on. Eventually when the fun is all over, I know for sure they will come crawling back about how they now get it. They get why people hated this from the beginning but it'll already be too late to forgive them because Pandora's Box is already open and things will only keep spiraling from here. Regardless, I will still draw and research for myself because I care and love art. Nothing can ever discourage me from doing what I love and spreading the word on the harms that AI gen has brought onto society. I do think it's a symptom of a much larger issue at play but that's a discussion for another time.
