I’m not sure. AI scraping public information and using it to inform itself is no different than a PERSON doing that. AI is just a logical extension of what it means for a human to have a personality or knowledge. We know what we’ve read and been told. Our personality is defined by what we experience in the world. If a person can experience everything on earth and read every book and watch every movie constantly, it would not automatically be copyright infringement. It’s only copyright infringement if that person then recreates an exact story/book/movie/work of art that someone else already made. So the issue to me isn’t the scraping of information. It’s making sure the AI didn’t commit copyright infringement. Which is a totally separate issue
