AI runs on transistors used as on/off switches. A CPU analog could be built with wall switches made into binary flip-flop pairs with solenoid actuators and other mechanisms a s necessary. This CPU would be as tall and wide as a skyscraper, or even bigger. It would be totally impossible to build in a practical sense, but could in a theoretical sense. It would be able to run AI, like an LLM. Would it be conscious? Would a thing made of wall switches and solenoids be conscious? I think an idiot would believe that.
