I know this isn't the point, but this video made me tear up a little. I got really discouraged from doing art for a long time because of "friends" who would point out every little flaw in my drawings and literally destroy it by circling my mistakes in pen or red pencil directly on the paper, and have only recently (a few years ago) gotten back into it. Even now, hearing someone talk about how "bad art" is just the practice stages of good art still gets to me, and has helped me to to look at my flaws as things to work on improving in tbe next piece, rather than signs that I'll never be a "good artist" or that the whole piece is bad just because one arm is a little weird. I'm so glad I decided to work on improving my skill again, instead of falling for the temptation of AI. And honestly, looking back at some of my old drawings, I'm also retroavtively proud of younger me, because despite the flaws, I now have enough distance from them to see all the things I could do well, even then.
