I find the accusation that a professor shouldn't use tools that the students can't to be spurious. Professors aren't students. Their job isn't to coddle your perception of fairness; as if you were engaged in some conflict. Their job is to educate you. If they can effectively use AI to do that, power too them. If they can't and still persist, perhaps they just aren't a good teacher, despite the tools they have available.
