There have actually been studies where random samples of people were asked to assess a variety of poetry, some AI-generated, some written by the poets the models were trained on. And guess what? The AI-generated poems were consistently rated as more “human” and “emotionally impactful” compared to the traditional ones.
It’s almost ironic, isn’t it? The very thing people claim lacks soul or emotion ends up being the one that resonates more when the audience doesn’t know how it was made. Maybe it’s not the art that’s the problem, it is just the preconceived ideas getting in the way.
