Table salt as we know it, is so refined it practically is a chemical, and yes will be dangerous if you take too much of it. But it's unlikely you will accidentally overdose on this. People who work in salt mines, are more likely to overdose on salt, since they get so used to a higher salt intake that they oversalt in order to taste the salt they thought they were used to.
I personally prefer sea salt or pink Himalayan salt, which will include other needed minerals. You should probably NOT fully remove salt from your diet, as salt is a primary electrolyte. And as much as i dislike doctors at present, you should probably follow your doctor's advice... especially over an LLM.
