So what your saying is your don’t think writing can be art? Personally I don’t see an art replacing anything but neither do I see us having machines that can try to visualise the written word either, that just gives writers the ability to share visual and make light novel images added to their stories without increasing their budget much. Is it cheapening art, absolutely, is it less individualistic, true as well. But it also gives semi-professional aesthetic features to people that would never have made those without it. Giving people who might never have even tried to put pencil to paper to get their creative ideas out there. And personally I find that’s a good thing. Does it mean I now judge my procreate sketches and nomad builds against what I could make just by typing. Absolutely but then I would have judged it against other people’s work so why not judge it against an AI just as much. Just as I dislike some of the “modern art” in galleries that just at times feels like they have slapped something on a canvas and called it art, if someone can just an empty canvas as art or the contents of a weeks trash melted down, and call it art. I’m not gonna say using a machine taking a collection of art as reference and a written prompt and producing a visual accumulation of these isn’t art. And if just one more person picks up art and enjoys it because there is a medium that lets them get to decent levels of aesthetics from the start rather than months down the line. I’m sorry I don’t think that’s a bad change. So to be honest I’m more excited to read online as I know some writers stories are going to have additional images that previously they just wouldn’t, and for good or for bad I’m here to see and read that.
