I'm paraphrasing a bit, but Matus is asked if people are right to be concerned companies investing excessively in AI might cut staff to increase their profits. Matus replies that is short term thinking, and we should think in the long term as to what is best for the interests of the companies. Dead give away. That is the actual problem. AI doesn't think, and it can't "replace" human intelligence. The problem is that corporate executives and their politicians control AI and they often don't have much either.
Hopefully the bubble will pop soon, those companies that sold themselves out to AI will be washed away, and AI can get on with what it is actually good as. Counting grains of sand or stars in the the sky, etc.
