You are probably correct, that everyone will not necessarily live a life of luxury, but if ai replaces most jobs, people will not be able to afford goods and services, leading to severe inflation. The thing that billionaires are fighting for, will eventually become worthless. Will they have more money and power than everyone else? Absolutely. But if you look at great depression or post WW1 Germany, inflation hurts everyone quite a bit. At the end of the day, it's better to give everyone a small amount of money, so they can "survive" and keep economy afloat, then having to constantly look over your shoulder. We live in a country where people are upset enough to target CEOs and political figures. Now, imagine this happening on a great worldwide scale, with 95+% of people getting same level of upset.
