I'm 50 years old, and I used to tell myself I would never code—it's too late, I'm too old, etc. But since large language models started to get good at coding, I thought, hey, I can harass this thing 24 hours a day about how to code, and it will never get annoyed. Two years later, I'm coding with the help of my LLM, of course. I’ve created several complicated apps that the AI would not have been able to make if it weren't for my keen senses steering it to the crux of the errors and effectively solving complicated issues that it simply would not have been able to do without looking at it from a human perspective. Now, does that make me a coder? Absolutely not. I am as much of a noob as they come, but I will say this: I am not as blind as I was two years ago. I created my first website, hosting my own LLM, and now I’m reworking it to host my apps. So I say this—no matter how old you are, it’s never too late. The future is human.
