It may sound childish or cliche but what if won over AI with their own weapon - law? If AI was fully an open technology job loss and many other concerns wouldn't be really a problem because if no one had rights to the outputs made by the generators making money out of them would be practically impossible.
And I don't even mean prohibiting selling this kind of art by law. Only just a few lines of paragraphs telling that only human-made work can be copyrighted would fix almost all issues.
So, for example, Disney creates their character with some sort of AI, and everyone uses it commercially... you get the point.
So that's maybe a thought worth sharing. Have a nice day.
