As an artist, I'm not really threatened by this. AI art generation as it currently stands can imitate our work, sure. But only as an approximation that will always have some oddity that leaves the end result "lacking of the human touch". Also, AI art generation is currently incapable of "specifics". It is a very hit and miss process typing in a prompt to get a desired image. And even then, you will never get exactly what you want out of it. Only a human hand/mind can create that. I personally find it to be a good tool to deal with "artist block" when seeing the unique and interesting designs etc that it will spit out.
