The person that said that users are likely to abandon a system which doesn't know all the answers must think so horrendously low of his fellow human being, to the point of being a sociopath. He thinks people are vegetables? Cattle?
If I am researching something on a textbook, and it does not contain the answer, I don't throw the book away. If the internet does not give me an answer after I search something, I don't trash my computer. If my teacher advisor does not know the answer to my question, I don't start thinking he is an idiot.
I use chatgpt all the time, to help me fill knowledge I don't have, to summarize unfamiliar content, and the BIGGEST, most worrying part about using it is the question "is this thing being accurate or is it just making shit up?". I really wish it could just say "I don't know", and that I could RELY on its accuracy.
I am usually not an advocate for intelligence in people, but I am fairly sure they know how to breath, and into which hole food goes. Mr. Wei Xing doesn't seem to think this highly of other people. I wager being his student is a joy.
