Have a fine arts degree and a diploma in environment modelling. I am lucky to hold a job that requires a lot of manual labour, otherwise if I relied on the work I can find in the fields I have studied I would starve to death by now. Have gotten 3 interviews (for shaky, soon cancelled contracts) in a year and about 300 automatic rejections… every time I open LinkedIn I see another post about a studio shutting down and right beside it a motivational post of why you shouldn’t give up. It all feels like a dark joke. I pretty much decided to do whatever I want from now on because what I was told I needed to do did not ever lead to anything that I wanted
