Great video but I wanted to add onto what you were saying with 2 points. First on originality Ai can only replicate what it’s seen and on that front unique poses and perspective just aren’t something it can do, since Ai became popular it’s pushed me to create work with more dynamic perspectives and poses there’s simply no reference for. I started as a 3D artist so sometimes I have to sculpt my own reference because it otherwise wouldn’t exist. Ai has forced me to step away from relying as heavily on reference in general, in part because searching for reference is now poisoned by slop but also because it’s less appealing to me to be really good at just copying what I see. My second point is the time Ai bros have invested in it could’ve been used to actually improve their skills. They could’ve learned to draw, paint, or sculpt in the few years gen Ai has been popular and they’d likely be able to produce better results than they get from Ai. That’s something that only gets more true as time goes on. When Ai inevitably stops getting massively subsidized by huge corporations and crashes and burns these “Ai artists” will have nothing to show for the time they invested into it. Even in the worst possible time line where Ai somehow succeeds there is no place for them. Companies have no need for prompt generators when realistically they’d just force already skilled artists to use Ai. The only ones who would benefit would be mega corporations, and even then it’d only be in the short term. Ai is a parasite, only taking and giving nothing of value back.
