As someone that know how to draw and uses Ai too, yes, if you hand the control to Ai it becomes statistics, BUT when you get to learn how to describe the technics, details, body parts, types of clothing, names of pieces and nuances, architecture, shapes, textures, camera controls, illumination and much more in a prompt and you get something unique that is so well made that the Ai can't hallucinate what you described. I think you can say your effort is valid.
When you see in some Ai Prompt creator's details that define a style choice and you recognize the author, I think at this point is valid to call it a AI Artist
